Ein kurzer Ausblick exponiert postmoderne Entwicklungen. Literaturgeschichtlich gesehen dominieren im 19. Jahrhundert die pathetischen und finalen Darbietungen, während im 20. Jahrhundert, neben einer singulären politischen Linie, die das Drama der Zeit überhaupt charakterisierende Form der Tragikomödie in den Vordergrund tritt. Darüber hinaus werden mediale Transformationen des Künstlers im Drama bzw. auf der Bühne bemerkbar.
