The roots popular as an herbal anti-inflammatory remedy and pain-relief while the flowers are known to be a good poultice for insect bites and rashes on the skin, as it gave quick relief with a soothing effect. Many techniques like, MPLC (middle pressure liquid chromatography), TLC (thin layer chromatography), LC (liquid chromatography) and CC (column chromatography) have been used as separating tools. compounds have been isolated from roots, leaves and flowers of Tulipa sustola with interesting biological activities.
