Scientific study of food habit provide an intelligent understanding of agriculture pest and helps pest control and management. This work is based on the results of the identification of the 1,404 stomach contents of rodents (Rodentia: Muridae) including Bandicota bengalensis, Millardia meltada, Nesokia indica, Tatera indica and Mus sp collected over three years (2003-2005) from rice and wheat fields of different districts of Sindh, Pakistan.Data on abundance and reproduction has been gathered. Damage indices were calculated in identifying the most important pest specie and the time when most damage occur. Agricultural practices that would reduce rodent population were identified and suggestions to the timing of rodenticide application are given and the use of particular taste additives in bait have also been specified for control of rats. Present Study is an addition to the literature of biological research and provide solution to experts for managing and controlling the vertebrate pest in fields.
