Simulation results based on EMTP and MATLAB have been presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. To validate the proposed fault location approach, studies have been carried out on simulated power system model in which the transmission line is fed from both ends. The model is subjected to different types of faults while operating at different operating conditions and performances of the proposed algorithms are evaluated.
