The findings showed that the teachers recognition such as increase of salary, good working conditions, promotion and growth, full appreciation of work done by the government and job security have positive effects on students academic performance. It was recommended that proper evaluation of teachers based on examinations and supervision should be well organized before promotion and appointment. A situation where there is automatic promotion of teachers based on year of graduation does not work well for improved academic performance of students.
