Joseph Chinyong Liow was the inaugural holder of the Lee Kuan Yew Chair in Southeast Asia Studies and senior fellow at the Brookings Center for East Asia Policy Studies. He is currently dean and professor of comparative and international politics at the S.Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Liows research interests encompass Muslim politics in Southeast Asia and the international politics of the Asia-Pacific region.
