Auf der Grundlage qualitativer Interviews der dort vertretenen Theologen und ausgewählter Nichttheologen gelingt es, aktuelle und authentische Einblicke in die Rolle(n) der theologischen Ethik in plural zusammengesetzten Gesellschaften zu gewinnen. Als theoretischer Referenzrahmen dienen dabei vier gegenwärtige paradigmatische Entwürfe, die Theologie und Öffentlichkeit einander zuordnen. Im Ergebnis erweist sich eine christologisch konturierte öffentliche Theologie als der überzeugendste und tragfähigste Ansatz. Die Autorin wurde 2018 mit der vorliegenden Arbeit habilitiert. Four contemporary paradigmatic approaches on the relationship of theology and the public sphere serve as the theoretical frame of reference.
